Creamsicle Maker Roll
Creamsicle Maker Roll
The Story
Back in 2015 I was packing to study abroad in the UK. I couldn’t find a lightweight organizer for traveling with my drawing tools; I didn’t want anything bulky because I had to carry everything I needed with me each day! The organizers on the market were often bulky, with dark interiors, and difficult to use quickly, on-the-go. After a bit of trial and error, I created the first iteration of the maker roll, which I still use today.
The Details
The top left corner is tacked down to keep tools from rolling off your lap.
The pocket is angled so that as pencils shrink, you can slide them into the shorter pockets.
Everything rolls open and shut quickly, so if you’re an urban sketcher like me, quick subway sketches are a cinch.
The Sustainability
The rolls are made in small batches, minimizing fabric waste by design. Any leftover scraps are save to be used in quilts.
The Uses
Drawing
Watercoloring/Painting
Crotchet/Knitting
Make-up brushes

The Final Note
Each set of rolls is made in a limited run of 6-10 total rolls of a particular fabric. Once the rolls are sold out, that is it.
